»Missoula Children's Theater, Robin Hood

January 31, 2015 2:00 PM

Robin Hood is one of the more well known heroic outlaw figures in English folklore. He was a well-to-do aristocrat, but after returning home after fighting in the Crusades he was dispossessed of his lands and made into an outlaw by an unscrupulous sheriff. Robin Hood made the phrase "steal from the rich and give to the poor" famous and he has inspired a number of real life outlaw figures like Australia's Ned Kelly and America's Jessie James. Robin Hood was made into an internationally recognizable figure after films staring Douglas Fairbanks and Errol Flynn were made in his honor. The play Robin Hood seeks to properly express the humanistic character with which the notoriously good hearted outlaw lived his life.

»Prof

January 31, 2015 9:30 PM

Prof is a Minneapolis-based rapper and singer. With a style characterized by boastful raps full of sometimes immature or inane lyrics, Prof has gained a reputation of being a sort of "party rapper," in that he doesn't seem to take his craft all that seriously. And while the lackadaisical quality and claims of lyrical aloofness certainly aren't unfounded, Prof's music isn't quite as shallow as it might seem at first glance, and may just win over fans looking for some quirky alternative hip-hop. His surprisingly versatile singing voice adds an extra layer to the material and gives off a discernibly pop-heavy feel.
