This educational center features hands on science exhibits and workshops.
The Museum is housed in the historic Paddock Mansion. The museum contains both Paddock family and local history exhibits, spread throughout three floors and within three outbuildings. The outdoor exhibits, open in summer, feature the Early American Barn, Pioneer Cabin, and One-Room Schoolhouse (under construction).
The Seaway Trail Discovery Center is a museum that displays the local history, culture and heritage of the place. Located in the historic Union Hotel, it started operating in 2000. The exhibits here range from the history of lighthouses in the region to the daily lives of people in the area. The museum gives an entire coastal or marine experience to the visitors. Group tours of the museum are available on appointment.
The Antique Boat Museum has the biggest collection of classic and antique freshwater boats in the continent. If you are interested in nautical history, then this is definitely a fascinating place to visit. Its 4.5 acres (1.82 hectares) campus consists of 10 buildings with exhibit spaces, archives, a library and dockage. You will find an impressive display of early launches, runabouts, engines and St. Lawrence Skiffs. You will get a glimpse of the fine woodwork craftsmanship of these vessels. Take the sailing trips offered during your visits to this unique museum. It is the home of the the Antique Boat Show and Auction and the Antique Raceboat Regatta.
This interesting craft museum showcases handwoven fabric and other regional artistry.
Of particular interest at this local history museum is the lovely replica of a turn of the century village square in 1903 town hall.
The Thousand Island Park Historic District is located at Orleans, New York. It has a total of 294 structures which are still are still extant. This historic district was incorporated in the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
