Overlooking the Pamlico River, Festival Park opened its doors in 2012 to the public. It is set beside the North Carolina Estuarium and features picnic spots, Papa's Playground, a maritime themed zone for kids and a performance space. This scenic park regularly hosts movies in the park, outdoor concerts and festivals. It also has amusement rides on special occasions.
