The Sternberg Museum of Natural History is a part of the Fort Hays State University and is one of the best places in town for those interested in natural science. From interactive exhibits to temporary and traveling ones to fossils and dioramas, there is never a dull moment here. You will find the displays of dinosaurs and prehistoric species of the land and sea that were once lived in Kansas more than 80 million years ago very exciting. Apart from these this museum has an impressive collection of specimens ranging from geology, paleontology, botany to mammalogy and other fields. Check out the Discovery Room, gift shop and book store to give you more than a glimpse of history.
