Bars & Cafes

»Padre's

One of the few decent hangouts in Marfa, Padre's is a favorite watering hole for the locals. Located on the West El Paso Street, this restaurant and bar is housed inside a long-standing, renovated structure. There are a few tables scattered across the room as well as on its patio where you can munch on the Famous Padres Burger or the various pies served here. If you are in for drinks, then sit at the long bar which is a perfect place to strike up conversations with fellow drinkers. Else you can indulge in a game of pool or air hockey inside the adjoining game room of the bar. The nights are mostly ruled by the various live music performances by artists/bands, both local as well as those on tours. On concert nights, make sure you walk in before time to grab the best seats as the place tends to get a bit crowded. Call ahead or visit their website to know more.

»Lost Horse Saloon

The Lost Horse Saloon is a local watering hole with all the charm of an old western saloon. Whether you're a local or a visitor just passing through, at the Lost Horse Saloon you will always receive a warm welcome. The bar offers a variety of draft beers for a dollar each every Thursday, and hosts some pretty great live performances on most nights. Apart from performances by artists and bands like Ali Holder, Boyfrndz and Division Men, open mic nights attract quite a crowd as well. Stop by with a group of friends and enjoy a game of pool, or trade stories with the cowboy and bar owner, Ty. The outdoor seating area is set up beneath a canopy of twinkling lights, with cracking fires to keep you warm on those cold winter nights.
