A little park located not far from the city center, Welcome All offer exciting recreational facilities. Besides the lush park expanse, that is ideal for family picnics, the park also offers extensive sports facilities including a football field, five baseball fields, a basketball court, tennis courts as well as a general playground. Located in a secluded clearing on the banks of a picturesque lake, The Cabin Path offers a wonderful outdoor experience. It has a log cabin that offers a comfortable place to camp, alongwith several hiking trails for the adventurous. Visitors can explore the surrounding countryside rich with rhododendrons, wildflowers and deer. the lake is a pleasant place for leisurely fishing. A walk through the maze built here is supposed to calm your nerves. Numerous activities are also held from time to time.
College Park is a great course for beginners. Just a short hop from Hartsfield International Airport, it boasts a 9-hole, par 36 layout with challenging greens. Rental Clubs are available. Reserved tee times are not given. There are discounts in green fees for residents, students and seniors (55+). It hosts several golf tournaments and private events like weddings. Located 30 minutes southwest of the city, this amusement park is open on weekends. Although there's plenty of fun for adults, the park is geared toward kids, with bumper boats, batting cages, laser tag, and three go-cart tracks. A miniature golf course, video arcade, and play maze are also available. Bulk tickets can be purchased 200 at a time since they are the cheapest. There are also occasional "armband specials" that offer unlimited access to certain rides for a certain price.
Set in the rolling countryside of Fayette County, it's hard to believe this bucolic facility lies only about 15 minutes south of Hartsfield International Airport. The location is so convenient, business travelers have actually been known to slip in a quick round at this par-3 course during layovers. The course plays 1150 yards (1052 meters) with narrow fairways that open onto wide approach areas and tricky greens. Carts and clubs are available for rent, as well as a driving range for quick warm-ups.

Waterfalls abound at this beautiful Atlanta park, where a variety of trails lead to many wonderful remote destinations. Trails range in length from one-third of a mile to a full mile, and none are strenuous. Some treks involve crossing creeks, however, so come prepared to get wet if you misstep. The Cochran Shoals Nature Center houses a number of wild animals, including a mountain lion. Take Highway 20 to Fairburn Road (exit 92) and turn left. Turn right at Cochran Mill Road (Highway 70). The road leads into the park.
Oneness with nature is what you will experience at Cascade Springs Nature Preserve. Spread across 120 acres (48.56 hectares), this natural preserve is one of the oldest in Atlanta. Trails within the park offers visitors a serene hiking path. You can also choose to spend some quiet time by the natural springs that form a small waterfall. If the walk gets too tiring, perch yourself on one of the picnic tables located within the park, gorge on your picnic basket and get re-energized. A visit to Cascade Springs Nature Preserve is sure to be a tranquil one.
The Flat Creek Country Club is a championship 27-hole golf course, considered one of the best courses in Atlanta. Open since 1968, the facility also offers a pool and a tennis court. There's also a driving range and several practice areas. The clubhouse is the perfect venue for an important event, with a capacity of 300.
This pleasant 18-hole, par 72 course is popular with mid-level players, and sits on the site of a Civil War battle. One of the area's most frequented public courses, weekends can get pretty busy, so reserved tee times are strongly recommended. The golf course is open daily from 7a.
