Birmingham's Preston Lovinggood has performed on “Late Show With David Letterman,” played the South by Southwest music conference, opened for Counting Crows and heard at least one of his songs on the soundtrack of “Grey’s Anatomy.” The Birmingham rock musician knows what it’s like to be on the cusp of fame. As the frontman of Wild Sweet Orange, circa 2004-2010, Lovinggood released a full-length debut album and heard his band described as the Next Big Thing. Now as part of the Communicating Vessels record label, Preston is taking the music scene by storm.
