The first thing that comes to mind at the mention of Thomasville is roses - this city's residents absolutely revel in their rose gardens. Known as City of Roses, the end of April witnesses a yearly Rose Festival which sees participants flocking here with their prize rose flowers from across the world. Thomasville also boasts a rich and varied cultural heritage which makes it yet another reason to visit.
Located in Southwest Georgia, Moultrie is the largest city in the county of Colquitt. The city derives its name from General William Moultrie, a revolutionary war hero who was also the inspiration behind naming Fort Moultrie as such. Owing to its historic chronology, the city reflects a strong Afro-American presence. Nicknamed as the 'Antique Capital of South Georgia', Moultrie does offer a lot of antique shops.
The Pisgah United Methodist Church is a monumental church site. It is a distinguished church that was erected in 1858. The church site also features in the National Register of Historic Places. The building brilliantly exemplifies the Greek Revival style of architecture.
