»Born Of Osiris

March 30, 2015 8:00 PM

Born of Osiris is a deathcore band from Chicago that was founded in 2003. Employing an eclectic blend of metal genres in its music, as well as an original mix of droopy analogue synths and programmed electronics, Born of Osiris has built a solid reputation for itself amongst the American heavy metal circuit. The group's first album, 2009's A Higher Place, was referred to as a breath of fresh air for hard rock and the group was lauded for it's ability to buck the norms and employ typically un-metal sonic elements and bring them into a cohesive whole with seemingly flippant abandon.

»Free Heart Screening Fsu

April 08, 2015 9:00 AM

This spring we will be hosting the first free on-campus heart screening organized by college students. Our event will offer the Florida State Universitys student body an opportunity to receive an ECG, which detects conditions leading to SCA and other forms of heart disease. More than 60 student lives across the country have been saved due to an issue that was found from an ECG screening that we performed. With your support, we hope to screen as many students in our community as possible. A standard ECG costs between $150-$200. Unfortunately, many families cannot afford to provide their children with this critical health service. Any contribution helps bring us one step closer to saving the life of a son, daughter, brother, sister, or friend.
