U.S.-based Led Zeppelin cover band Zoso is no doubt one, if not the only Zeppelin cover band dominating venues across the country. The group performs dozens of times through out the year, bringing the legendary English band's most well-known songs to Zeppelin's die-hard fan base. In addition to a masterful display of Zeppelin's music, the group completed the ensemble with picture-perfect outfits and hair.

    »Julian Lage

    October 27, 2014

How many musicians are deemed child prodigies with an award-nominated documentary made about their abilities by the age of just eight? Such is the case with Julian Lage, an impressively talented jazz guitarist from Santa Rosa, California. Throughout his youth, Lage was trained in classical and modern styles at some of the most prestigious music institutions in the United States, including the Berklee College of Music, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the Ali Akbar College of Music. As a result, Lage is a master of the guitar, infusing his classical leanings with plenty of jazzy exercises and forays into a multitude of genres. Always impressive while managing to avoid inaccessible pretension, Lage is a young master of jazz who has performed with some of the genre's modern legends, including Bela Fleck, Herbie Hancock and Joshua Redman.

»This Legend Featuring Ben Harper & Lp, Previously Of Yellowcard

    October 29, 2014 9:00 PM

With a sound built with elements of blues, reggae, rock, soul, folk and funk, Ben Harper creates music that can either have a calming or rousing effect on its listener. The California-born singer/songwriter has the ability to nonchalantly switch between crooning a ditty or hammering out a rock inspired tune with steel guitar stylings. Though he recorded his first LP Pleasure and Pain, in 1992, he first came to notice in 1995, when his album Fight For Your Mind became a noted mainstay of many college radio stations. As he continued to release music into the 2000s, his reputation as a premier singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist solidified in 2006 with the release of his acclaimed double album, Both Sides of the Gun.

Some musicians are a perfect reflection of the time, place and scene that they exist in. In the case of electronic producer Skrillex (real name: Sonny Moore), his sound manages to perfectly encapsulate the ever changing, and evolving, modern electronic scene that exists in America. By incorporating elements of glitch, dubstep, electronica, electro-house and other dance-friendly genres, Skrillex makes a unique style of music that is rarely boring and almost never lifeless. Born in 1988, Skrillex is a young producer who's eager to prove his worth amongst other well respected artists and if his debut 2010 album is any inclination of where he's heading, it's safe to say that he'll have a fairly successful future as an electronic producer.

Contrary to the softness of its name, Pup is a punk rock band that uses onslaughts of aggresive, quick-fired riffs to craft each of its songs. Based in Toronto, the group first captured its abrasive, yet catchy style on its self-titled debut album in 2014.

Fishbone is an alternative rock band formed in Los Angeles that helped pave the way for the third wave ska and ska punk movements of the 1990s. Originally forming around 1979, Fishbone's ever-changing lineup has seen many members come and go over the years. Angelo Moore (aka Dr. Madd Vibe), however, has remained a constant and is the founder, lead singer and saxophonist of the group. Fishbone's hybrid of distorted guitars, bouncy horn line sections and the choppy upstroke strumming of reggae and ska made the band an underground favorite throughout the 1980s. Once the following decade's ska revival ignited, Fishbone garnered some attention from new fans after groups such as Reel Big Fish and No Doubt started singing its praises.

    »Peelander-z Featuring Special Guests

    October 30, 2014 9:30 PM

Peelander-Z is a New York-based punk band that originally formed in Japan in 1998. Billing themselves as a "Japanese Action Comic band hailing from the Z area of Planet Peelander," the band's four members (known as Peelander Yellow, Peelander Green, Peelander Red and Peelander Pink) don oddball, psychedelic outfits that include headdresses, plastic wigs and Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers-style jumpsuits. Musically, Peelander-Z plays a quick, brash style that pulls equally from 1980s hardcore and 1990s skate punk. The band's outrageous stage show has won it appearances on several television shows, and slots at notable festivals such as Warped Tour and Bonnaroo.
