Sydney's newest leisure centre is located directly in front of St Mary's Cathedral. Facilities at Cook & Phillip Aquatic and Fitness Centre include a 50 meter lap pool, hydro-therapy pool and leisure pool with wave-making machine (all heated), as well as a gym and basketball court. The center also has a cafe and swimwear shop. Pop in here during your lunch hour or after work, or alternatively bring the family at weekends for a great, inner city aquatic experience. Opened in 1998 at a cost of AUD3.4 million, it replaced the original, crumbling 1937 building. State-of-the-art facilities include basketball courts inside and out, table tennis, volleyball, netball, cafe, playground, a soft fall area for kids and a barbeque area. There is also a fully equipped health club with gym and aerobics. The Center also runs community education programmes, sport competitions and children's holiday and day care.

The 18-hole course boasts well-kept fairways and greens, pro-shop and the recent addition of a 60-bay three-tier day/night driving range, open until 10pm daily. Cruising Yacht Club of Australia runs the world famous Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, the Southern Cross Cup, the Sydney to Mooloolaba Classic, and was the 2000 Olympics sailing venue. The Temple of Body and Soul is a women only space. This is a premium gymnasium, which is actually more like a health resort. They of course have every facility you can think of from spas, sauna, heated indoor lap pool and gymnasium to an offering of beauty treatments. Their membership prices are steep but you get all the optional extras you can think of. Definitely worth checking out and the perfect place to pamper yourself.
Terry Wise's Pacific Sailing School is located at the prestigious Cruising Yacht Club, Rushcutters Bay. This is the departure point for the Sydney-Hobart Yacht Race. Cost: From AUD495 for five lessons of three hours each, includes logbook, certificate, course notes and sailing school cap. Tuition includes Set Sail courses for beginners, spinnaker courses, race courses, competent sail courses, and theory courses. Charters also available.
BridgeClimb provides the ultimate experience of Sydney, with guided climbs to the top of the world famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, 134 metres (440 feet) above Sydney Harbour. Climbers can choose from one of three amazing climb adventures - The Bridge Climb, The Discovery Climb or The Express Climb.
