The experienced captains on the U.S. Coast Guard-inspected vessel know all the tricks of that trade and the best spots to fish. Some trophy fish caught in these waters have weighed as much as 30-pounds, but the average catch is five pounds. The well-equipped boats have private baths and heated cabins. All your gear is included, as well as drinks and snacks. Lunch is available on request and is included on all day trips. Corporate rates are available. The fish are cleaned and sacked, and you can even have them delivered to a Tahoe restaurant for your dinner. By reservation only.

»Lake Tahoe Cruises

To enjoy the beauty of Lake Tahoe from a different perspective, take a cruise on the Tahoe Queen. The three deck, 500 passenger paddlewheeler cruises the scenic south shore and Emerald Bay. A portion of the vessel has a glass bottom for viewing the mysteries of the deep. For a romantic evening, the Dinner Dance Cruise offers complimentary champagne and live music; discounts are available for seniors. Lunch is available for an extra charge. »Heavenly Scenic Gondola Rides

For an exhilarating experience, try the gondola ride. The ride lasts for about 12 minutes, taking you over two miles (three kilometers) up the mountain. As you travel look out the windows for an amazing view of the ground far below. Make sure you get out at mid-station deck at an elevation of 9123 feet (2781 meters) where you will enjoy spectacular views of the Tahoe basin. At the very top you can enjoy a delicious meal at the restaurant while looking out at the breathtaking view. Hiking trails are available if you are feeling adventuresome and energetic. The gondola can hold up to eight people, so this is the perfect ride for the whole family.

»Bijou Municipal Golf Course

Bijou Municipal Golf Course is located in a beautiful mountain meadow in South Lake Tahoe. It is open from April to October every year. The course is a nine hole, family course and spans almost 2002 yards. Golf shoppers can either visit the pro shop or relax at the snack bar (open from 7.30am-6pm) after a long game. Reservations are not required as you are given a chance on a first come first basis. Beginners can also opt for lessons. Open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m.

This facility is one of the most popular and beautiful golf courses in northern Nevada. It is the home of the American Celebrity Golf Championship held annually in July. Tee times are extremely hard to come by, but worth the trouble to play this marvelous and challenging course. The par-72 golf venue is rated in the "Top 100" in the country By Golf Digest and the most difficult in Nevada.

Come to ski at Heavenly Resort? This shop is the closest place to find ski and snowboard rentals, overnight repair service and winter clothing. If you have forgotten to bring all your gear, you can rent whatever you need here. Ski and boot rental packages, snowboard and boot rental, children's ski and boot packages are all available. Ski jackets, pants, gloves and helmets can be rented and also radios and snowshoes can be hired.

Gunbarrel, one of the most popular mogul runs of the state can be accessed by taking the Gunbarrel Express and then skiing down The Face. This run is bounded with icy moguls, making for a rather bumpy ride down and has often been the venue of mogul skiing competitions. This black diamond trail runs parallel to the Gunbarrel Express through most of its length, making sure you always have spectators along this run.

This black diamond provides some true Alpine bowl style skiing for those keen to practice before attempting a double black diamond. The Milky Way Run is a part of the bowl, and interestingly, the upper half of the run lies in Nevada, while the lower half falls in California.

»Ridge Run

Ridge Run is quite a popular ski run that is a blue level slope for debutante intermediates and provides one with picturesque views of the lake from the top of the mountain, ending halfway down. One will always find it filled with fellow skiers; just make sure you don't end up colliding into one of them. Take the Express Line ski lift to the top of the mountain to reach this run.
