»Great Lake Swimmers

April 29, 2015 8:00 PM

Toronto's Great Lake Swimmers had been toiling away in near obscurity for years before the group's fourth album, Lost Channels, blasted them to notoriety almost immediately upon release. That the band received such instant acclaim upon being exposed to a wider audience is little surprise. Led by singer/songwriter Tony Dekker's plaintive warble, the Great Lake Swimmers make gorgeous indie-folk that's as nostalgically wistful as it is easy to love.

»A Special Early Show Ft. Hawthorne Heights and More!

April 30, 2015 6:30 PM

Hawthorne Heights is a pop punk/alternative rock band from Dayton, Ohio that catapulted to fame with the release of its first two Gold certified albums released consecutively in 2004 and 2006. Drawing on elements of punk's sub-genres, mainly screamo, Hawthorne Heights manages to combine these sounds with elements of pop, hard rock and emo to create a radio-friendly sound that has gotten fans of pop punk raving. Joining the growing pantheon pop punk acts cropping up across the US over the past few decades, Hawthorne Heights has more than proven itself to be a leader amongst them, based upon the band's considerably successful performance with its albums both commercially and critically.

»Guster

April 30, 2015 8:00 PM

Guster is an acoustic pop/indie rock band that formed in 1991 in Massachusetts. The members bring comedy and social activism to their music along with their instrumental and vocal talents, creating an atmosphere that feels like it has a purpose while it entertains. Look for offbeat covers and amusing lyrics as part of the show that is probably being taped by more than one audience member (Guster has an open recording policy).
