This world renowned medical and research centre offers free one and a half hour tours of the clinic each Monday through Friday at 9:40 AM, beginning in the Judd Auditorium; artwork tours, featuring unique art throughout the clinic, are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 1:30 PM.
This centre for the arts presents contemporary fine arts and crafts exhibitions from artists throughout the Midwest and the United States, as well as offering classes, lectures, films, tours, workshops, and special events throughout the year.
This museum features interpretive exhibits detailing the history of Rochester and the surrounding area, as well as offering a research library and archives containing over six hundred thousand maps, photographs, diaries, journals, and books relating primarily to Olmstead County and south-eastern Minnesota.
Located next to the State Theater, Crossings At Carnegie is a center for performing and visual arts in Zumbrota. Occupying the former Carnegie library, this thriving art center has an interesting line up of monthly art exhibitions and concerts featuring upcoming local and national artists/ bands. Unlike what one would experience at a concert hall, watching the talented musicians perform here is a more intimate affair. In the past, artists like Richard Shindell and Claudia Schmidt have performed and interacted with audiences at this center. And just like their concerts, the center is serious about its commitment towards contemporary visual arts. Rotating exhibitions feature artworks in ceramics, pottery, sculptures, fine art and a plethora of other art forms. Visit their website for booking information and more.
