Located in the upscale but casual Habersham Marketplace village just outside Beaufort, this is the place to come and relax with friends after a busy day. Reflecting a mix of English, Irish and American tastes with a variety of brews and a wide selection of wines, the pub also offers delectable appetizers, full course meals and daily specials. Gwen & Franny's, Whyte Hardee Boulevard, is a charming ol' treasure. Owned and operated by a local, Gwen Mervin, the restaurant believes in traditional cooking with no frills. It works out well for the place which wastes no time with elegant displays or modern furniture, that however does not stop it from being any less than supremely popular. The dining area is hardly worth writing back home, but what really brings the locals in droves is it's delicious, drool-worthy offerings - namely, the fried chicken. Some would even say that it has the best fried chicken in the county! Regardless, Gwen & Franny's Fried Chicken Restaurant deserves a stop! Apart from their legendary fried chicken, top picks here include the rib dinner, sweet potato pie and mac 'n' cheese, to name a few.

Apart from some of the most delicious fried chicken in the area, the restaurant also serves many seafood and fish varieties like fried shrimp and oysters. The menu also includes local classics such as okra, mac n' cheese and brisket. For a small price, Chickin Lickin' offers a delightful feast full of local flavor.
Located on Whyte Hardee Boulevard, Mi Tierrita, offers a wonderful Mexican feast. The lively little cantina has nice interiors that are perfect for relaxed dinners with family and close friends. On offer is a great variety of Mexican staples that include a range of tacos, fajitas, enchiladas and such. Not to be missed here are the NY fajita steak, shrimp mamalex botana and shrimp tacos, to name a few. The prices are fair, the service is nice and the ambiance is just right, too, definitely worth a stop, this one!
Truffles in Belfair Towne Village is a trendy restaurant known for their delicious American fare using only the freshest ingredients in their dishes. The farm to table menu is made daily and comprises of burgers, sandwiches, steaks and seafood. Must try's are the center cut filet with homemade buttermilk mashed potatoes, fresh grouper with parmesan basil glaze, and tender baby back ribs. Enjoy their happy hour at the bar with a wine list of more than 60 bottles and other fine drinks. You can also dine alfresco at their nicely covered terrace.

True to its name, the Downtown Deli is a deli located in the downtown area of Bluffton. However, it sets itself apart from the competition in a number of ways. First, it serves breakfast all day long, a fact every good chow hound can appreciate. Next, though the sandwiches it serves are nothing out of the ordinary, many are spiced up with regionally significant names like "The Lowcountry Club" and "The 278 Traffic Jam" (which, disappointingly, does not include jam). They also offer specialties from other farflung locales, such as Buffalo Wings, a Reuben, and "The Ultimate Philly." They make no bones about professing their desire for your business (the menu shouts "Be a Regular!!!"), but thanks to the quality of the grub, they don't have to twist your arm. So come on in and, as their website says, "Phasellus felis ipsum!"
