The Charles W. Eisemann Center is a plush and fully-functional center in Richardson that presents theater, drama, recitals, readings, dance, concerts and more with regularity. The space can also be rented by corporates for exhibitions, seminars and product launches. Perhaps what sets this center apart from the rest is the painstaking effort that goes into making each event enjoyable to those with learning, mobility, visual and audio impairments. This art center is bringing a world of refinement to the ever-growing city of Plano. Exhibits have included batiks by Jun Ye of China and photographs of Guanajuato, Mexico by June Van Cleef. Eclectic productions range from a show of the Golden Rod Puppets by the Hobey Ford Troupe to classical guitar performed by Robert Bluestone. Every third Friday of each month at 7p is poetry night. Various featured poets are highlighted, and an open-mike session follows. Admission and exhibits are always free; however, performance prices vary.

Addison Improv Comedy Club is a great place to unwind, but be careful: your sides might ache from laughter. The venue often features national acts and is exactly what you would expect from a popular comedy club—very dim lights and not a bad seat in the house. Cloth napkins add a touch of elegance. The Improv's menu is quite impressive, with something for all tastes and appetites. Appetizers include popcorn shrimp, chicken fingers and nachos. The menu also includes salads, pasta dishes, grilled chicken, burgers and steaks. Of course it wouldn't be a comedy club without a bar, which carries beer, wine and mixed drinks.
