Basically, the Theater is a conversion of the Center into a flexible venue of either 2,500 or 4,500 persons. It is located minutes away from the Sovereign Performing Arts Center. Nerve of the cultural life of Kutztown, the Schaeffer Auditorium is a beautiful venue located within the campus of the Kutztown Pennsylvania University. The Department of Music of the College performs both concerts and chamber music here. Theater and dance performances are also staged here by the students. It is the venue for the annual Kutztown University's Performing Artists Series and Children's Series, which bring together the best performers in the fields of drama, comedy, dance and music.
