St Mary's Academy, a traditional Catholic school for girls is an institution that aims to excel in academics and sports alike. The art and comedy clubs are good avenues for students to hone their acting skills. Students can also join the archery, dance and earth clubs as per their interest. The theater regularly hosts student directed plays. Athletics is greatly emphasized at the school and it has won 15 OSAA championships in five different sports. The school has an active soccer, volleyball, basketball and athletics team.
The grand Smith Center Ballroom occupies the third floor of the PSU's Smith Memorial Student Union building. Spread across 6,400 sq.ft, the facilities has the capacity of up to 500 guests. The interiors are is vividly rich and elegant, and a large screen adorns the wall. This breath-taking venue is a great place for hosting all kinds of college level and non-collegiate events and it is the hub of all student activities. At the same time it is flexible enough to accommodate any private event or party and they also offer great lighting and sound support for all occasions.
Portland State University's Native American Student and Community Center is a center for the benefit of Native American, Pacific Island Indian Service Organization and Alaskan Native students. It organizes a number of programs and activities for the students enrichment and development. Host to a number of University events, it also exhibits a number of fairs. This beautiful and spacious structure is a good venue for different types of events.
The Peter Stott Center, owned by the Portland State University, is an excellent sports facility for students. The center is home to the Portland State University Vikings basketball, volleyball and wrestling teams. Peter Stott is replete with weight and circuit training rooms, an aquatics center, racquetball, squash and tennis courts. The facility also has physical education training classes and separate locker rooms. The recreation field is used for a number of scheduled PSU events. General public access is allowed when the grounds are not being used for the university events.
Oregon Ballroom tucked in the grand Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront, spells elegance and charm. A spacious venue, accommodating around 10,000 people, it excels in the same standards set by the Marriott Groups. The Ballroom can also be divided into smaller areas for intimate events, cocktail parties, receptions, conferences etc. The contemporary interiors and ambient lighting are the USP of this place.
Located on the west end of the Portland State University campus, Hoffman Hall has decent facilities for lectures, presentations and gatherings. The hall is primarily used as a venue for the university's activities and meetings. However, the space is also available for corporate banquets and seminars.
Going strong since 1924, this is the oldest youth orchestra in the United States. Between a dozen and 22 concerts are held each year, featuring more than 200 student-musicians. Shows are held at the Portland Center for the Performing Arts, and the season runs from November-June. A local favorite is the performance after Christmas Day. The Grand Ballroom is located at the Hilton Portland and Executive Tower in the city of Portland. This magnificent ballroom measures 12,657 feet and has large ceilings that are almost 18 feet high. This place can be split into 5 different rooms and is a great venue for banquets, exhibits, meetings, weddings and other special occasions. A place for those looking to play host in a grand and lavish way.

A school is, where books are the last thing you'd find. At Portland Actors Conservatory, pupils are required to have immense dedication for the art of acting. If you are talented enough, then you've got admission here—age no bar. Located within Firehouse Theatre, this school serves as a platform for aspiring actors, for the 'graduates' perform at the theatre itself. Be it monologues or method acting, every student out of here is a polished actor. When students of conservatory aren't performing, the Firehouse theatre can be rented for private events as well.
The Pacific Building is a 10 story structure built in 1926. Located in downtown Portland, it is made with the Renaissance style of architecture. This beautiful historic building houses a number of offices and has been added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.
