A Tuna Christmas

Debuting in 1989, A Tuna Christmas is the second installment of a trilogy of comedic plays that tells satirical stories about residents who reside in the fictional town of Tuna, Texas. One of the things that makes these series of plays unique and uproariously amusing is that all of the characters are played by two men. Channeling slightly absurd town-folk of both genders, both actors are able to load the stage with physical gags, slapstick humor and loads of humdinger jokes. Though A Tuna Christmas follows a linear and fairly side-splitting plot line, the play is notable for the way in which it pokes fun at the small-town antics that typically fill many Americans lives during the yuletide season.
