It is a short drive north, and well worth the effort, to this lovely café in one of Wellington's northern suburbs, Johnsonville. With great coffee, lovely decor and most of the food made on the premises, Herbs café is a great place to stop while out for a drive. Set in the Twiglands Gardeners World the grounds of the café are lovely. Wander through and pick up that special something for the garden while you are there. It also is home to "Teddy Bear House", a novelty store, selling teddy bears and gifts you will love, at reasonable prices.
If you are taking in the attractions of the Johnsonville Shopping Centre treat yourself to drinks and brunch at this pleasant cafe and bar. Located just inside the Mall entrance you will find the bright, airy surroundings a great stopping off place in which to unwind. There is a range of beers, wines and spirits on offer, together with panini and home-made Fish Pie and roast dinners on select days.

The atmosphere is really vibrant with lively music, super friendly staff and a large range of beer on tap. A great place for business or social meetings. Corban's red wines are a speciality.
The sun streams in at this charming suburban hideaway near Mount Kaukau. Owner Patricia Kerr is well known for excellent service and quality food. Situated at the entrance to Khandallah Park, the cafe is small, vibrantly decorated and attracts local crowd. Brunch includes pancakes or Eggs Florentine. Snacks include homemade pizzas and freshly baked items. Serves hot and cold drinks, including special children's Fluffies.
This is a pleasant cafe situated in the central suburb of Ngaio. Housed in a tastefully renovated villa, the restaurant has a large dining area and a balcony for eating al fresco. The varied menu includes mains like Penne Pasta with Sun-dried Tomatoes, Olives and Pesto and Rack of Lamb with Boysenberry Sauce. You can buy a Ploughman's Platter, among other things for lunch and there is a kid's menu. Licensed to sell both wine and beer but also great just for coffee.
