Chris Botti is a jazz musician from Portland, Oregon who is perhaps best known for his skills as a trumpeter and composer of smooth jazz. Rising to national prominence with the release of his album Night Sessions in 2001, Botti created a name for himself as a uniquely talented musician who was able to successfully blend jazz and pop styles together into something truly worth listening to. Following his breakthrough success, Botti would continue on an extraordinary career path in the music industry, earning several Grammy nominations as well as having three of his albums reach #1 on the Billboard charts for jazz.

Dwight Yoakam is a singer/songwriter, actor and director who is probably best known for his contributions to the country music genre. Born in Kentucky and raised in Ohio, Yoakam began to show a keen interest in music from an early age. After he briefly attended Ohio State University, he dropped out in the late 1970s to pursue a career making music. Yoakam moved to Nashville to try and achieve his dream of making a living as a musician, but after finding no luck, he packed up his bags and moved out west to Los Angeles. In California, Yoakam established himself and his unique style of "hillbilly music" helped the musician stand out among the myriad of other aspiring singer/songwriters in the Los Angeles region. He released his debut album, Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc,, in 1986 and since then Yoakam has been a busy figure--getting involved in the movie business, but always managing to produce some forward-thinking and extremely memorable country music.
