    »Sbtrkt

    October 21, 2014 8:00 PM

British producer and DJ, SBTRKT is part of a growing community of UK artists working at the fringes of dubstep's increasingly iconic sound. Opting to incorporate some of techno and house's deeper synth elements, SBTRKT's material also tends to be a bit darker and more epic as a result. His tune "Timeless" is a good example of SBTRKT's pairing of techno and house's more ethereal sounds with dubstep's basslines and half-step groove.

together PANGEA is a rock and roll trio that earned a quick following in the Los Angeles area when it emerged in the mid-2000s with its thrash-worthy garage punk sound. Though the group's music still retains much of its infectious pop-hooks and punk aesthetic, its sound has evolved to include elements of post punk and 1990s alternative rock. Since its debut 2010 debut album, Jelly Jam, together PANGEA has stepped away from its association to Los Angeles' punk rock scene and into its own territory, where lyrical themes of detachment and fear push its dark power pop-infused music into higher realms of rock and roll.
