Located at the eastern edge of the Byward Market, this cavernous dance club has been a favorite hangout among Ottawa's college and university crowd for many years. The music is loud and the dance floor is usually full as DJs play the latest in hip-hop and house music. Although there's a CAD3 cover charge, the drinks are cheap by Ottawa standards with beer and shots going for CAD2.50 each. There are also eight pool tables near the front of the bar for those looking for a break from the dance floor.

This friendly neighborhood pub is a throwback to the old country. Sitting in this Sandy Hill watering hole quaffing a pint of Guinness, you can easily imagine yourself in a pub in England or Ireland. There are eight beers on tap including the traditional favorites from across the pond, as well as a well-stocked fridge of domestic beers. This delightfully vibrant pizzeria is in the old Grand Hotel building, complete with authentic forno a legna (wood-burning) pizza oven. The pizzas are thin-crust and the crust is the perfect blend of crispy and chewy. In keeping with genuine Italian traditions, the pizzas aren't overwhelmed with toppings; rather, they're kept nice and simple; the tonno pizza is simply tomato sauce, red onion, mozzarella and tuna.
