Enjoy 45-minute guided cruises around the islands from the Stony Creek Dock, just minutes from New Haven. The Sea Mist crew also offers chartered cruises for private groups and parties, offering wine and cheese or fully catered dinners. One word of warning, parking is a big problem during the warmer months and on weekends. Park where you can, relax and enjoy the sea spray on your face and photographic opportunities as you listen to the local lore about the Thimble Islands.

The Shoreline Greenway Trail is a trail for hiking and biking that passes through many towns in the New Haven area. Eventually, the trail will stretch 25 miles between Long Island Sound and Hammonasset State Park to Lighthouse Point in East Haven. The trail is a great place to get some exercise while taking in the beautiful sights of the area. There are no motorized vehicles allowed on the trail.
