Combining bluegrass and folk instrumentation with sensitive indie pop songwriting, Churchill is a well-received musical entity around the Denver, Colorado area. The group was originally formed by Tim Bruns (lead vocals/guitar) and Michael Morter (guitar/mandolin/backing vocals), but has since expanded to a five-piece that includes, piano, bass, drums and female harmonies provided by Bethany Kelly. With appearances at SXSW and a number of notable music festivals over recent years, Churchill is forging ahead into bluegrass/folk/pop crossover territory with great results.
