    »Syzygy

If you are looking to impress, opt for this restaurant. Consistently rated as one of the best restaurants in Aspen, it offers top food with top jazz. The enclosed waterfalls create an immediate impression of "ooh, this is different." The menu extends this feel by offering New American cuisine with select dishes from around the world. Angus Beef fillet and elk tenderloin are two of the more notable dishes. Live Jazz can be found here every Thursday starting at 9pm. The wine list is the size of a small novella and features over 300 varieties.

    »Shadow Mountain Lounge

If you seek escape from the usual mountain bar scene of lift attendants in backward baseball caps and guitar players singing "Margaritaville" non-stop, then saunter over to this oasis of decorum. Though exposed to hotel lobby traffic, the bar offers a cozy and quiet atmosphere normally only found in mountain cabins. A huge granite fireplace, which is surrounded by overstuffed chairs, blazes in the center of the room, and soft, live piano music plays nightly, making this an ideal setting for exchanging coy glances over wine. It is also a great nest for celebrity-watching. The bar features a strong selection of wines, apertifs, and domestic and imported beers.

If you're not passing by on the river, and you're just looking for a great time out, then the Wolcott can provide just that with live music seasonally and a large bar with fast moving bartenders making sure you'll never have to wait to long for a drink. Open seven days a week, Wolcott Yacht Club Grill serves breakfast a little longer on Sundays.
