The fall landscape that surrounds Ioka Valley Farm is a patchwork of green hills and golden hay, framed by the contrasting Berkshire and Taconic Hills. Its name says it all; Ioka is Indian for "beautiful." Activities and special events are scheduled all year; a big draw are the festivities in the fall that include hayrides on the Giant Pumpkin Wagon, sing-a-longs, pumpkin carving, a spooky Hay Tunnel, a variety of farm-made goodies to snack on and more! Activities are free, but bring cash to satisfy your appetite.

»Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute (The Clark)

What started as home for Francine and Sterling Clark's art collection in 1950 is now a full-scale institute featuring a museum, exhibitions and educational programs. The white-columned facilities are set in the lush natural surroundings of the green-treed hill and dale of the Berkshires. There is a fine collection of French Impressionist art as well as Renaissance and other 19th-century paintings. Admission is free from November through May.

Under the purview of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, the North Adams Elks Lodge (also known as Lodge no. 487) is a well-known fraternal center and organization where a number of community and cultural events are held regularly. The lodge was founded at the end of the 19th Century, however, it moved to its present location only in 1938. Friday Night Bingo, concerts, organization meetings, banquet dinner and other events take place regularly at the lodge with some of these events also open to non-members.
