Established in 1903, the city of Newport lies cradled between the Pigeon River, fertile valleys, basins and the foothills of the majestic Smoky Mountains. This city tells the typical tale of the struggles between the Cherokee Natives and the European Settlers who displaced them. Several civil wars and attacks later, Newport emerged as a town to reckon with thanks to its strategic location at the confluence of rivers. Presently the city attracts visitors for its stately courthouses, the 1803-built Beechwood House, Elm Hill and the Rhea-Mims Hotel.
The Sevierville Events Center is a one stop venue for trade fairs, expos, exhibitions, conferences etc. The venue is owned by the city public building authority and is run by the government. Most of the events happening here require registration and very few of them are open to the public. The center houses a ballroom, meeting rooms, outdoor exhibit area and also provides catering facilities. Many hotels around the center cater to lodging needs. The Sevierville Events Center is the perfect location for large events and conferences.
