This little-known estate and grounds are landscaped like a French palace. Called The Garden of the Bishop's Close, it was given to the Episcopal Diocese of Portland by the Kerr family in 1957. Different plant varieties are labeled, making it an educational tour of Northwest plant life. No matter what the season, this is always a great place to visit. The Ahmadiyaa Muslim Community was set up in Portland in the year 1966. Portland's earliest mosque catering to the Ahmadiyaa Muslim congregation, Portland Rizwan Mosque was founded in the year 1987. The prayer house is nestled on a beautiful hill in a quaint neighborhood. The mosque's architecture is a blend of American suburban and traditional design seen in countries dominated by Muslim population. The mosque conducts social activities and classes to train individuals about Ahmadiyaa Muslim community. Its community initiatives include blood donation camps, road cleanup drives and distributing clothes and food to the needy. Ever since it was established, Portland Rizwan Mosque has imparted knowledge on Islam and has actively participated in interfaith and outreach events. Its members belong to various nationalities and ethnicities and the mosque serves as a proof of tolerance and pluralism.

Eight noble men laid the foundation for Ahavai Sholom, almost a century ago. This congregation was later renamed as Neveh Shalom in the year 1869. During this time, the congregation consisted of nearly 460 Jews from Portland. Today, Neveh Shalom Synagogue blends conservative beliefs with a libertarian ethic and remains the place of worship for thousands of Jews in Oregon. It has started a number of programs and also offers lectures, activities and faith services for different age groups. For young kids, it offers immersion Hebrew while for those with special needs, it has designed a constructive program. In the year 2008, the synagogue underwent significant restoration with an aim to cater to the growing needs of the congregation's future chapter.
A liberal arts college, Warner Pacific has lots to offer all its students. Founded by the relentless efforts of Swami Vishwa Premananda, Portland Hindu Temple was set up in the year 1991. Fondly known as Swamiji, the temple head has traveled to various countries to spread Hinduism before he arrived in United States in the year 1989. In a couple of years, he established Portland Hindu Temple, also known as Brahma Premananda Ashram. Today, Portland Hindu Temple serves Tigard's Hindu community and guides them on the path of Hindu faith. It performs several pujas including Pournami (Full Moon), Satyanarayana Katha, Grihapravesh (moving into a new house) and Shanthi Patha (peace prayer), among others. Sanskaaras performed include Naamkaran (naming of newborn) and Vivah (marriage ceremony). Swamiji also conducts Pranayama and Yoga sessions in his Ashram.
For over 40 years Southwest Church of Christ has been a haven of peace, faith and community in Portland's suburban area. With weekly services, outreach programs and youth services; the mission of the church is to provide a place of spiritual growth, learning and community to it's congregation. An interesting ministry of the church is the Breakfast, where teenagers from the local high school come to have a healthy hearty meal, while interacting with the community and seeking spiritual guidance from the community. Westhills Baptist Church strives to follow the Lord and encourages its community members to walk on the path of faith by adhering to the Lord's preachings. Ways of worship are diverse, including singing choruses, hymns, scripture recitals and prayers to the Master. Bible studies for men and women are also organized by the church. The church also undertakes community activities including hospital visits and distributing meals to the poor. Children Church ministry is designed to train children for God's worship. They learn fundamentals of Bible and the importance of righteous deeds.
