Trevor Paglen is one of the artists featured in the exhibition Fractured Narratives: A Strategy to Engage. The art showcased in the exhibit leaves space for personal interpretations and a critical relaxation on the social, technological and psychological trends over the last ten years. These artists create through their work an opportunity for speculations and avoid providing simple explanations. The contemporary art inspires viewers to come to their own conclusions.
Stuck in the midst of a harsh Denver, Colorado winter, Ethan Converse and Sam Martin decided to combat their dreary surroundings by pairing up and making warm electronic music. The result of the duo's experiments yielded Rose Quartz (nee Flashlights), a lushly produced, synth-induced electropop project that has received a lot of attention since the release of its Hidden Behind Trees debut EP in 2011. Though they had never worked in electronic production before forming Rose Quartz, Converse and Martin build their tracks with confident precision, layering swaths of keyboards and synthesizers together and then placing 1980s Brit-pop melodies on top to create retro-minded yet undoubtedly modern music.

Vignette: The Art of Fountain Pens is an exhibition at the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art, that showcases about 100 years of different kinds of fountain pens. This nearly forgotten instrument to write and create with ink changed much between 1875 and 1975, not only in shape, material and nip, but in design and color as well. A large variety of different designs and styles are shown at this exhibition, which is divided into three time periods.
