Greg Trooper is a singer/songwriter from Neptune, New Jersey who has straddled the genre gamut with his music over his decades long career. Having grown up listening to the music of New York City's Greenwich Village during in the 1970s, Trooper owns a rock and roll songwriting style that is reminiscent and highly influenced by his first musical infatuation: American folk.He released his debut album, We Won't Dance, in 1986, establishing himself as an intrepid lyricist as well as a resolute guitar player.
