The town of Senneville is the wealthiest surburban village located toward the west of the Island of Montreal. It was founded in the year 1779. Most of the rich Montrealers used to have their summer homes in Senneville. This town features extensive golf clubs, the Morgan Arboretum, yacht clubs and Fort Senneville. In 2002, the town was appointed as a National Historic Site of Canada not only because it demonstrates the collaboration between the architects and financiers during the 20th century but also exemplifies the arts and craft from those times.
