Built in 1848, this impressive building is probably the oldest commercial structures in the county. This indoor mall opened its doors in 1850 and has been running ever since. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places on 1976, you will find wall murals highlight historic events of the city. Antique showrooms, a tavern, boutiques, cafes and various other stores are the residences here. A trip to the iconic Paddock Building will be a good retail experience.
Established since 1861, Powerscourt Covered Bridge is one of the oldest of the bridges in Southwest Quebec. Connecting the municipalities of Elgin and Hinchinbrooke, the wooden bridge was later replaced by the steel. Retaining its original architecture, shape and materials, the Percy Covered Bridge convincingly is the oldest bridge in the Canada.
One of the best surviving examples of Georgian domestic architecture on Long Island, this historic 18th century Georgian Colonial home is complete with period furnishings and dates back to the years before the War of Independence.
