Built on the banks of the Little Laurel River and featuring the country's largest display of millstones, this working reproduction mill dates back to the era of the original McHargue family mills. The mill was built in 1812 and was reconstructed on its present site in 1939.
Formerly known as the Cumberland National Forest, the Daniel Boone National Forest is a forest nestled in the State of Kentucky. Cumberland Falls is a mystical and inspiring waterfall in the Cumberland Falls State Resort Park. Falling from 70 feet (21 meters) on the Cumberland River, it is often called the Niagara of the South. On a full moon night, don’t miss the lunar rainbow. This phenomenon appears white to the naked eye but a great camera captures its mesmerizing hues.
