    »Cloud Nothings

    October 02, 2014

Considered the king of the geeks on the music scene, Dylan Baldi is an anemic-looking young singer/songwriter with a penchant for oversized Hawaiian shirts and notorious for giving fast-talking, awkward interviews. However, when Baldi steps behind the mic for his band Cloud Nothings (which he writes/records all the music for and just recruits friends to help him out at live performances), he impresses audiences with his quirky speed garage-pop that's clearly influenced by 90s punk rock. After signing to the Animal Collective-run label Carpark Records, Baldi began receiving tremendous buzz on the indie scene and has since built a solid fan base.

    »Chris Young

    October 25, 2014 8:00 PM

Chris Young is a Tennessee-based country musician who was declared the winner of the reality television program Nashville Star in 2006. From an early age Young displayed a knack for performing, acting in several school plays as a child, and becoming an accomplished guitarist and singer, who could also write his own original songs. While enrolled in college, Young managed to tour frequently and play a large amount of shows around the country while maintaining his scholastic schedule. After performing in Arlington, Texas, an admirer of Young's music came up to him and suggested that he try out for a reality TV show that would spotlight budding country musicians. After auditioning and catching the eyes of judges, as well as American audiences, with his characteristic style of down home country pop, Young progressed through the show's final rounds until he was crowned winner. He released his eponymously titled debut LP in 2006 and since then Young has maintained a respectable level of attention amongst country music listeners for his catchy and heartfelt songs.

    »Alice Cooper

    November 03, 2014 7:30 PM

The king of shock rock Vincent Damon Furnier, best known by his moniker Alice Cooper, rose to fame in the 1970s for his eleborate, horror movie-inspired live shows. During his heyday Cooper would put on performances that were just as much entertainment theater as they were musical performances and with guillotines, electric chairs, fake blood, boa constrictors and other lewd devices. Though Alice Cooper started off as a band in the late 1960s, Furnier adopted the name for himself starting in 1975 with his concept album Welcome to My Nightmare. With a catalog of music over two dozen records long, Alice Cooper continues to offer his morbid brand of performance art during live shows for a new generation of metal fans.
