Cody park at North Platte has something for everyone, with plenty to keep the whole family entertained through the day. The park encompasses within itself a host of fun activities to enjoy and sights to see. One of the most popular attractions at the park is a beautifully restored antique carousel. While children will enjoy riding the hand-carved horses, adults are sure to appreciate the artistic vision and skill employed in their creation. The park also encompasses within itself a Wild West memorial with a life-size statue of Buffalo Bill, a campground, two playgrounds, a railroad museum, an animal enclosure with peafowl, ducks, deer and other creatures, and various recreational sport facilities. Several events, festivals and concerts are held at the park, especially during summer, so keep an eye on the town's tourism website for the latest event schedules. The park shelter and portable band shell are available for private hire as well.
