Bousquet Ski Area & Family Fun Center is a regional amusement and recreation facility for all seasons. Come to use the water slide, summer camp, go-karts, pool, rock climbing and chairlifts in the summer, while in the winter you can enjoy skiing, snowboarding or snowtubing. The Berkshire Lyric Theatre performs at venues across the Berkshires. Founded in 1963 by director Robert Blakefield, a former New York voice teacher and Broadway choral director, the Lyric Theatre provides choral training and performance opportunities for emerging talent, and establishes scholarships for students of instrumental and vocal music.
The Barrington Stage Company offers year-round entertainment and events for all age groups. Parking is free, and refreshments and a gift shop are available. The company is best known for their production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, which eventually went on to Broadway and won two Tony Awards. Their renovated 1912 theater in downtown Pittsfield is the new permanent home to this leading theater company.
Having presented fine theatrical performances for over seventy five years, this is one of the oldest theatrical organizations in the United States, and features a wide and varied array of theatrical productions and educational programs. The Guthrie Center at the Old Trinity Church was established with a noble mission of stringing the entire community together with love and peace. In collaboration with other religious and cultural organizations, this center organizes artistic and religious events on a regular basis. The fall landscape that surrounds Ioka Valley Farm is a patchwork of green hills and golden hay, framed by the contrasting Berkshire and Taconic Hills. Its name says it all; Ioka is Indian for "beautiful."
