    July 11, 2014 6:00 PM

Written by the iconic musical duo Gilbert and Sullivan, Pirates of Penzance is a comic opera that has remained a staple in the classical theatrical repertoire since its debut in 1880. The show follows protagonist Frederic, who is released from indentured servitude to a band of pirates after 21 years of apprenticeship. With his new found freedom he quickly falls in love with a young woman named Mabel, only to find out that he was born on February 29th, meaning that his birthday comes once every four years and he owes another 63 years of servitude to the pirates until he is officially 21 years old.

    »The Pirates Of Penzance

    July 11, 2014 8:00 PM

This updated version of Gilbert and Sullivan's most popular musical took New York by storm and had a smash-hit run on Broadway. Wacky, irreverent and as entertaining today as it was when Broadway was brand new, "The Pirates of Penzance" spins a hilarious farce of sentimental pirates, bumbling policemen, dim witted young lovers, dewy-eyed daughters and an eccentric Major-General, all morally bound to the often ridiculous dictates of honor and duty. The score features many of Gilbert and Sullivan's wittiest and most engaging tunes, including the crowd-pleasing favorite "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major-General." Join Toby's for a great meal before this jolly good trip on the Jolly Roger.

    »Good People

    July 11, 2014 8:00 PM

The haves and the have-nots come face-to-face in the Broadway hit "Good People". Written by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire ("Rabbit Hole"), this Tony-nominated dramatic comedy finds struggling single mother Margie Walsh laid off from her job at the dollar store and left with the reality that her South Boston neighborhood is providing the same level of opportunity it always has: none. It's the kind of place where, for many people, this month's paycheck covers last month's bills. Facing eviction, Maggie's forced to turn to an old high school flame for help. But he's now a successful physician living in the suburbs ... and Margie is way out of her element. With his signature humorous glow, David Lindsay-Abaire explores the struggles, shifting loyalties and unshakable hope that come with having next to nothing in America.
