The museum goes into the history of winter sporting in Lake Placid and how it has developed into the greatest winter sport training area in the world. See artifacts and memorabilia, like Jack Shea's skates or Sonja Henie's costumes. There is also a large section devoted to the "Miracle on Ice" where the USA beat the Soviet Union on the hockey rink.
