Wynton Marsalis is a well-known jazz trumpet player from New Orleans. He started playing the trumpet when he was 12 years old and went on to study at Juilliard School of Music in New York. Since 1982, he has been working as a solo artist and his debut albumWynton Marsalis was released in 1983. His style is considered to be conservative since he dismisses all changes in jazz music after the 1960s, such as free jazz or fusion.

Adapted from Kenny Ortega's beloved film of the same name, Newsies is a musical theater production by Disney on Broadway that brings the real-life story of the newsboy strike of 1899 to the stage. With music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Jack Feldman, the show follows the story of a familiar cast of young underdogs who take on the biggest names in publishing. An inspiring tale that still hold's weight in modern times, Newsies debuted at the Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey in 2011 before finding a home on both Broadway and London's West End in 2012.

Tennessee Williams's groundbreaking 1955 play centers around Maggie, "the cat," and her life married to devastatingly handsome Brick, an alcoholic. The play takes place over one day during a birthday celebration for Brick's father, who is unknowingly ailing from cancer. The play circles around themes of Maggie's suffocating discontent in her marriage, as the secrets of Brick, the family and herself loom overhead. This deftly written work is often considered a classic, and one of Williams' best works, garnering him a Pulitzer Prize the year of its publication. In 1958 it was made into a film staring Elizabeth Taylor and Paul Newman.

Chicago natives OK Go were formed in 1998 by childhood friends Damian Kulash and Tim Nordwind who met at art camp when they were 11. Building up a reputation for catchy alternative-pop while playing as the house band for the television series This American Life, the band found fame with the release of its 2007 music video for "Here It Goes Again," which consisted entirely of a choreographed treadmill routine and received tremendous attention via YouTube. After garnering a Grammy for this video, the band had the world's attention and continues to create similarly catchy songs with creative videos today.
