Weeknight is an alternative pop music duo based in New York City. Although the group surrounds itself in darkness, Weeknight uses beautifully orchestrated melodies to create elegant synthpop songs. The crackling guitar, mystical lyrics and intertwining male-female vocals elevate Weeknight above many other synthpop formations. Drifting over neon synths, the 2014 debut album Post Everything contains the duo's first single "Dark Light." The title of the album says it all; transcending the influences, Weeknight crafted the record by melding elements of its previous works into beautiful guitar lines and clever vocals.

Eliza Gilkyson is a folk musician from Austin, Texas who has become somewhat of a music legend in her home state. Daughter of folk singer/songwriter Terry Gilkyson, who has composed many songs for Disney films during the 1960s, Eliza would begin her long musical career at the age of 19 with the release of her first album, Eliza '69 in 1969. Gilkyson was inducted into the Texas Music Hall of Fame in 2003, and her breakthrough album, Land of Milk and Honey, was released the following year to widespread critical acclaim in addition to a Grammy nod for that year.
