Albany MarriottApril 22, 2015 6:00 PM
189 Wolf Road
Albany, NY 12205
You are also cordially invited to, Campfire & Cocktails, an event to benefit LTV2015's Project CAMP.  The Leadership Tech Valley (LTV) Class of 2015 and the Center for Disability Services are embarking on an ambitious project:  Project CAMP.  With your support, we will provide improved access to a waterfront recreation area at the Centers Clover Patch Camp in Glenville, New York. The new waterfront will celebrate Clover Patch Camps 50th anniversary of serving the community and benefiting local individuals with disabilities, expanding their opportunities to develop social relationships and promote personal growth and exercise. Project CAMP (Creating A Memorable Place) includes: installing a new dock and ramp; building a handicap-accessible picnic area, campfire area, pathways and safety fencing; and landscaping the entire waterfront area. The design will significantly improve safety and wheelchair accessibility for nearly half of the campers who utilize wheelchairs for mobility. Clover Patch Camp serves more than 400 campers yearly, and for many, spending a week or more at Clover Patch is the highlight of their summer. Clover Patch allows children and adults to be independent, develop relationships, and spend quality time with peers in a relaxed and fully accessible outdoor setting. Clover Patch also provides a continuous six-day respite for the parents and caregivers of the campers.

Mary Chapin Carpenter is an award winning rock/country singer and songwriter. Throughout her career critics have struggled to pin down exactly what style Mary encapsulates. Her music has flavors from country, folk, and rock stylings, but she seems to always fall more into the country category. Regardless of categorization, the music is smooth and melodic, often heavy and worth seeing.

Weeknight is an alternative pop music duo based in New York City. Although the group surrounds itself in darkness, Weeknight uses beautifully orchestrated melodies to create elegant synthpop songs. The crackling guitar, mystical lyrics and intertwining male-female vocals elevate Weeknight above many other synthpop formations. Drifting over neon synths, the 2014 debut album Post Everything contains the duo's first single "Dark Light." The title of the album says it all; transcending the influences, Weeknight crafted the record by melding elements of its previous works into beautiful guitar lines and clever vocals.
