Extreme is a rock band from Boston, MA that was founded in 1985. Fusing a number of varied styles including funk, hard rock and glam metal, the group managed to build a decently sized fan base in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Although Extreme broke up in 1996, when its lead singer took over vocal duties for the ill-fated third incarnation of Van Halen, Extreme regrouped in 2004 and has since been keeping busy with a fairly busy touring schedule.

»Onegin - The Royal Ballet

February 26, 2015 7:30 PM

Based on Alexander Pushkin's novel written in verse and directed/choreographed by John Cranko, Onegin is a dance performance that is theatrical in its storytelling abilities. While the ballet is performed to the musical works of Tchaikovsky, interestingly enough, it does not take any pieces from the composer's opera Eugene Onegin. Following the daily life of St. Petersburg socialite Eugene Onegin who, out of boredom, moves to the country and eventually finds himself in a love triangle, the ballet successfully conveys this drama and the falsehoods of Russian high society through the art of dance.

»Private Lives

February 12, 2015 8:00 PM

Noël Coward's Private Lives casts a comedic look on marriage, divorce, male-female relationships and infidelity. Two divorcees, Elyot and Amanda, find out that they are coincidentally honeymooning with their new spouses at same hotel in southern France. Passion and desire for one another are rekindled as they plot to elope to Amanda's apartment in Paris, leaving their partners in a confused wake. But soon, the flames start to die out as Elyot and Amanda resume the same squabbling that ruined their marriage the first time around. This is a deliciously hilarious tale of can't live with them, can't live without them, and how, for some couples, physical attraction only spells a violently explosive chemical reaction.

Stephaniesid (sometimes written Stephanie's Id) is an American indie pop band built around the husband/wife tandem of Chuck Lichtenberger and Stephanie Morgan. Along with their drummer Tim Haney, the two craft light and breezy tunes that show off a real knack for turning sweet vocal melodies and lively instrumentation into fun, catchy pop music. Morgan's wistful vocals stand out amongst the jazz-tinged background, while her self-harmonizing creates a dreamy feel to the proceedings. Live and on recordings, Stephaniesid enlists the help of other musicians who contribute horns, keyboards, backing vocals and vibraphone.
