Ghost is a heavy metal band from Sweden that is recognizable for its on-stage appearance. Since the band formed in 2008, all members have performed with black hooded robes except the lead vocalist, who wears a Cardinal robe, a head piece and a skull mask. The identities and names of the band members are deeply shrouded in secrecy, as all the instrumentalists are referred to as Nameless Ghouls while the lead singer is called Papa Emeritus. Ghost released its debut single, "Elizabeth" in 2010, followed shortly after by the band's debut album, Opus Eponymous. The album has earned Ghost widespread attention from fans as well as other musicians, most notably Metallica's James Hetfield, who wore a Ghost shirt while playing a show in Sweden. The band promoted its acclaimed album as part of the Defenders Of The Faith III tour.

When listening to music created by the Denver, CO based band Tennis, images are conjured of sail boats, sun burns, white sand beaches and hammocks. The husband and wife's tunes have such a beach friendly sound that it's hard to think the group comes from such a landlocked city like Denver. The duo did spend eight months sailing around the Eastern Seaboard, though, so all of the inadvertent ocean references found in the group's music isn't unfounded. Tennis caught the attention of several critics in 2010 after it released a few singles as well as an EP and as the band's notoriety continues to grow, it will undoubtedly prove to be an interesting electronically infused surf rock act to track.
