Right in the heart of downtown Bellaire, Short's Brewery has been whetting the pallets of Michiganites since 2004. Operating solely in Michigan, Short's beer is worth the pilgrimage to not only its brewing facility, but the very reasonably priced brew pub attached. Naturally, all of Short's Brewing's refreshments are made in house, with brewers producing up to 800 bottles a day of its various styles. Short's is a perfect example of a homegrown operation that welcomes all guests to try a taste.
Having been around for close to 5 decades, the Old Town Playhouse has been in the forefront of promoting theater in Traverse City. Providing a boost to the art and live music scene of Traverse City, the InsideOut Gallery has a plethora of events scheduled throughout the year. This multipurpose space, which is spread across more than 7000 square feet (650 square meters) mostly supports the Lowbrow Art movement and houses a number of sculptures, paintings digital artworks and collages depicting characters from comic books from the past.
