His first album, Tapestry, was released in 1970, and his last, Rearview Mirror, in 2005. He plays folk rock and his music is known around the world, where is often touring. Another famous song is "Vincent", a tribute to painter Vincent van Gogh. This folk rock singer was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2004, and his single, "American Pie" is timeless.
