Located on 2 acres (0.81 hectares), the Jefferson City National Cemetery is a historic cemetery that features the burials of the soldiers of American Civil War. It officially came to be called the National Cemetery in 1867. The cemetery is said to have almost 1,792 burials as of the 2005 census. This serene atmosphere of the burial grounds makes one re live the history of the past.
Located on the site of Maple Terrace, home of Robert Wells, this library offers a variety of books, reference materials, and magazines. Special programs for children and adults and a public computer center are also offered to the public.
