Singers is downtown Hays’ premier entertainment venue. Occupying a 1946 building in the Historic Chestnut Street District, this former furniture store and ice cream parlor is at the forefront of the live music scene. Grab a drink at their bar and enjoy concerts and music events by regional bands and touring artists. This space can also be rented out for meetings, private parties and wedding receptions.
Activities begin at noon on Saturday morning with the polka bands playing the region's best polkas, waltzes and schottische dancing favorites. German food, bierocks, bratwurst and BBQ served on Saturday with a traditional Ellis County German wedding dinner served on Sunday. Beer garden and set ups for purchase. No membership required and all are welcome to attend. Fundraiser for cancer patients and their families and donations can also be made at the Bank of Hays for the Harold Dorzweiler Memorial Fund. Saturday noon to 10 pm, Sunday 10:30 am to 6 pm with a Polka Mass at 10:30 with Father Earl Befort and the Catherine and Victoria Choirs. The Polka Mass is free for the general public to attend.
