For those who prefer a closer view of on-stage action, the Star Pavilion at the Hershey Park Stadium is the place for you. Located at the northern end of the stadium, the Star Pavilion was opened in the year 1996, and holds up to 7300 people. Lynyrd Skynyrd, Poison and Chicago have performed here.
Home to the Hershey Bears, this center offers some rough ice hockey action for the wild and ice skating for the mild. Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center is the local hero here in Harrisburg. It is a 60 acre indoor arena that hosts the Pennsylvania Farm Show and also a number of other exhibitions all through the year. Home to Gamut Theatre Group, the Gamut Classic Theatre is a medium sized space located in the Downtown Strawberry Square. An intimate theater, it can comfortably seat 100. The MakeSpace is more than a concert venue. This three-story home on North Third Street underwent major refurbishment to transform into a vibrant art hub. Its living room doubles up as a stage for live performances by local bands and musicians, while upstairs are studios for contemporary artists. This versatile space perennially metamorphoses to accommodate myriad events and workshops including exhibitions, poetry recitals, improv comedy, open mic, jam sessions and yoga classes.
As you step into the Whitaker Center for Science and Arts, you enter the world of intrigue and fascination.
