Flosstradamus is a Chicago-based electronic duo that was formed in 2005 and specializes in making dance-friendly tracks with intensive synth arrangements and meaty bass beats. The group has received a large amount of attention within the electronic music scene and has managed to build a reputation for itself as a must-see live act for connoisseurs of electronic music. Even though the duo's music is extremely easy to dance to and, therefore, subject to a good deal of criticsm from electronic music snobs, Flosstradamus manages to interject a lot of adept production quirks and skillful sample splices.

»Johnny Marr w/ Opening Act Tba

November 29, 2014 9:30 PM

By the time he decided to leave The Smiths and his turbulent but prolific songwriting partnership with Morrissey behind in 1987, Johnny Marr had solidified himself as one of the era's more influential guitarists, particularly on the britpop genre that followed in the 1990s. After spending some time as a member of The Pretenders, The The and Electronic as well as laying down substantial time as a sought after session guitarist, he formed Johnny Marr and the Healers in 2000. With his new band, he released Boomsland, in 2003 and went on to release work as part of Modest Mouse, The Cribs and 7 Worlds Collide throughout the 2000s. Marr finally released his own solo album, The Messenger, in 2013 but is still remembered today as the iconic guitarist and Morissey's partner from The Smiths.

»Alex Clare

December 06, 2014 9:30 PM

Alex Clare is an electronic/soul musician from London who is quickly rising on the UK's independent pop scene through successfully synthesizing genres of electronic music that traditionally focus on rhythm and instrumentals with the strong soul vocals of contemporary British pop music. Collaborating with prominent electronic musicians on Britain's club circuit such as DJs Diplo and Switch, Alex Clare seems to have consciously stumbled upon a perfect marriage of genres that could end up being a game changer for the world of popular music. Celebrated by the Guardian as "future soul-reggae-blues," Alex Clare's music definitely comes across as futuristic--not because it sounds like the future, but because the future of music just might end up sounding like his own.
