Built in 1927, the J. Douglas Galyon Transportation Depot is in the heart of downtown Greensboro. The station includes the GTA Transfer Center as well as other sources of transportation such as Carolina Trailways, Greyhound and Amtrak.

The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital is the main hospital for the Moses Cone Health System, is the largest hospital in the Greensboro area, has 536 beds, and covers 63 acres. Urgent care and emergency pediatric care are both available, as well as a wide range of rehabilitative and surgical services. The institution also contains the Primary Stroke Center.
A branch of the Moses Cone Health Center, the Wesley Long Community Hospital began as a clinic that could only accommodate 20 beds, and has grown to nine times that size. Today, the hospital houses the Moses Cone Health System Regional Cancer Center, state-of-the-art MRI imaging systems, a cutting edge surgery team, a diabetes program, wound care center and much more.
Established in 1924, Temple Emanuel is located on Jefferson Road, in Greensboro. The welcoming house of worship is home to a vibrant and tolerant congregation. The Piedmont Triad International Airport is located in the middle of the East Coast and is at the center of the Triad, which refers to the cities of Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point. Grace Church is a community church in High Point. This fellowship of like-minded Christian believers is committed to spreading the Word of God in keeping with the teachings of the Bible. An array of events and ministries are organized including children, youth and healing. Other recreational activities put together include summer clubs, workshops, conferences and retreats.
Established in 1940, Christ the King Church belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charlotte. It was originally a congregation for the African-American Catholics in the city, but has grown in number and spirituality to welcome a diverse community that is one in faith. The church building is of Colonial style architecture with a brick facade, stained-glass panels and a tall steeple. They serve masses in English and Spanish, and also hold Novenas and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
High Point University was established in 1924 and has a wide array of courses for the students. The university has a beautiful and well maintained campus and houses an arboretum. The university is open to public visits and guided tours are provided. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
